My name is Aaron Bieniek and I’m a teacher. I’ve taught for 12 years at Whitnall High School in Greenfield. I’m Nationally Board Certified and hold a Master Teacher license in Mathematics for grades 1-12.
I hate traditional grades and believe strongly that we don’t need them and in the end they detract from learning. Standards Based Grading, SBG, is the answer and my department and I are working hard to put the focus on learning and not accumulating points.
I also believe, as Dan Meyer, in being less helpful and also in never saying anything a kid can say.
